Brazilian surfer PABLO PAULINO has matched JOEL PARKINSON as the only surfer two win duel Billabong ASP World Junior Championships. The 20-year-old won this event in similar conditions three years ago, and today defeated breakthrough Hawaiian TONINO BENSON in scintillating form. Notching up an 8.50 on his first ride to take an early lead, the fast surfing South American didn't stop there, posting a 6.50 to leave his opponent requiring a perfect 10-point score to steal victory.
